 (MAF Bey Ali x Imarri)
It is with immense sadness
that I announce the passing of I M Ali and her unborn Ames Charisma foal. I had enormous
love and respect for this magnificent mare that is no longer with us. She
was always a devoted, kind, and loving companion to me. I M Ali left
our world shortly after being sold to her new owner, Janie Morse of Oak Ridge
Arabians.
I will miss you dear friend. Thank you I
M Ali for all the affection you gave me. You were truly a universally
loved mare to all who knew you, and I will be forever grateful and proud
for the honor in caring for you for the last eight years. I was
so proud to have sold you to Janie through her agent, David Boggs. I
felt she would love you immensely as I do and felt you would live your
life as I have always dreamed best for you; out in the open, with big
green grass pastures to eat. I could just picture the wind blowing
through your lovely mane, being free to roam as you wish. I wanted
the best for you my dear friend and that required letting you go to another
home that had more to offer you than what I had.
The news came one morning just about 1/1/2 to 2 months after I had sold Ali
and I could not stop crying for hours. I have cried many times in the last
few months when I think about I M Ali and regret the fact I was not there for
her when she needed me most. I find it very difficult to accept the reality that
this magnificent, exotically beautiful and charismatic mare has now passed on. The
tears won't stop; it is as if each tear is trying to fill the enormous empty
space within my heart. I feel so much pain. The light in her huge
dark beautiful eyes are no longer of this world.
I wish I could kiss your dark muzzle one more time or feel your head resting
on my shoulder, as you nicker that soft neigh kindly asking for more carrots. If
ever there was a time I needed you to nuzzle me softly, it is now. My pain
is enormous knowing you were in so much distress those final hours and it was
determined you died of heart failure. When I awaken from this dreadful
dream, please just nicker to me and let me know you are here at my ranch in Scottsdale.
Let me see your exotic beautiful head as you raise it from eating your hay to
greet me as I walk into the barn. I M Ali, let me lead you to the wash
rack and groom you; let me scratch your back and brush the shavings from your
long beautiful black mane and tail. Let me see that special way you
would toss your head around with pride, let me ride you in the early morning
again as we have in the past.
Today it is still difficult to talk about the loss of this beautiful mare, which
I cared for and loved deeply. I feel I must honor her with this tribute,
this mark of respect, to help myself accept the fact that she has passed on.
I M Ali was laid to rest at the home of Don and Janie Morse of Oak Ridge Arabians
on a hill overlooking their pastures.
I gave Janie a beautiful flagstone with an oil painting of I M Ali on it when
she purchased the mare. Janie was so kind and offered to send the flagstone
back to me, but I suggested it be placed on I M Ali's resting place as a headstone.
I know Janie loved I M Ali very much and as I have said many times, I M Ali was
so close to the perfect life for a horse but it seems God wanted her more.

Every time we lose a great
horse like I M Ali, and even though I am sad, I think about how
lucky I was to even have had her in my life at all. I was
very lucky to know such a great mare. She will be missed!

I was very sad to hear of
the recent, untimely death of IM Ali days before she was due to foal.
This beautiful mare was the epitome of an Arabian mare with great type
and conformation as well as wonderful movement and presence. The last
time I saw her, was being so beautifully and carefully shown by the European
trainer Johanna Ullstrom at the Las Vegas show last year. She looked
stunning and it was amazing how Johanna obtained her trust in a matter
of a few days. She will be missed and my condolences go out to her owner
Janey Morse and to Rhonda Davis who was her proud owner for many years.

Rhonda's Top 10 Healing Suggestions:
* Re-open the gifts of cherished memories time and time again and
talk about your special horse to your friends.
* Take many walks outdoors with another loved pet. Get in touch with
nature and remember what an amazing life this is.
* Dedicate an album to their memory with pictures and
special mementoes or have a CD made.
* Name something in honor of the horse you are grieving.
* Keep a beautiful framed photograph or oil in your
home; or perhaps cut their mane and tail and have created a ring, necklace or
bracelet that makes you feel close to them.
* Find an area outside to make a garden in remembrance
of them. Plant a tree; gather some special stones and flowers to place near the
tree.
* Take a moment of silence on special occasions to reflect
on the goodness they brought to your life.
* Share and copy pictures of that special horse with
others who miss them too.
* Share your good memories about your horse over breakfast
or dinner on their birthday with friends. It's perfectly normal to laugh with
tears!
* Now that you know the pain of loosing a loved horse, send your friends
a note during their time of need and loss.
"Take time for yourself; one must realize and accept that healing takes a lifetime." ~
